Identifying 46 New Open Cluster Candidates in Gaia EDR3 Using a Hybrid pyUPMASK and Random Forest Method

Open clusters (OCs) are regarded as tracers to understand stellar evolution theory and validate models. In this study, we presented a robust approach identifying OCs. A hybrid method of pyUPMASK RF is first used remove field stars determine more reliable members. An identification model based on the algorithm built 3714 OC samples from Gaia DR2 EDR3 then applied identify candidates. The candidates obtained after isochrone fitting, advanced population synthesis (ASPS) visual inspection. Using proposed approach, revisited 868 preliminarily clustered them by friends-of-friends in EDR3. Excluding open that have already been reported, focused remaining 300 unknown From high low fitting quality, these unrevealed were further classified into Class (59), B (21), C (220), respectively. As result, 46 new cluster among classes identified
